Good design is something you feel before you understand it. I discovered that early on, downloading apps I didn't need just to experience how well someone had thought through every detail. That stuck with me. It shaped what I look for in work and what I try to put into everything I make. I want the people who use what I design to feel the same thing I felt using those apps. That's what got me into product design, and it's still what drives me. I work at Stuvia and run Mayelow on the side, a small studio helping companies build better digital products. I also build my own software, because creating things is just as much a part of me as designing them. When I have full control over what I make, the experience can be exactly what it should be.
